Children love having stories read to them and even very young children really enjoy having someone read them a favorite story.

And reading stories and books to children is a very rewarding activity.

As a parent and a grandparent, I have found that acting out the story by changing my voice and expressions really gets the kids interested, keeps their attention and makes story time lots of fun for them and for me.

Take a photograph of your child reading their book (be sure you can see the book's front cover)then mount the picture inside the front or back cover of the book

Have someone take a picture of you and your child while you're reading the book to your child. Then mount that picture on the inside cover

Now you've created something that is very precious.

When your child grows out of the book, place the book inside a container and store the book in a safe place.
